What is Gitlab CI

In the past Gitlab CI was a separate web application which integrated with Gitlab.

The purpose of Gitlab CI is to offer a solution by which to perform automated builds, tests, and deploy software.

Gitlab CI has now been fully integrated into the Gitlab (core).
